At the May 21st Division III District Championships, the Independence girls’ track team claimed its first district championship and the boys’ team won its first team title since the 2001 season.
For the women, Independence had 101.50 points while the 2nd place school had 84.50. For the men, Independence had 104 points while the 2nd place team had 86 points. The Blue Devils also won seven individual titles.
