The Alumni Association gifted two awards to graduating seniors who answered the essay prompt “How have my years at I.H.S. prepared me for the future?”
The 2020 recipients were Rachel de Haan and Kate Taliaferro. Rachel participated in Marching Band, Mock Trial, Drama Club, and the writing team. She plans to attend Case Western Reserve University to become a Neonatal Nurse.
Kate played Varsity Volleyball and was active in Biology Society and Student Council at I.H.S. She plans to attend The Ohio State University and has been accepted to their Biological Sciences Scholar Program. She would like to become a pediatrician.
